Derek Medina has been a makeup artist since his early years. His father Atiliano Medina and Uncle Benjamin Patino influenced his craft. At nineteen years old Medina found refuge in fashion and beauty.
In 2000 he enrolled in Katherine Gibbs New Fashion Design & Merchandising program. Producing his very own fashion shows is where Medina found his true calling in Make-Up Artistry. He began freelancing for various fashion photographers and stylists. Having his work published in various magazines, shooting covers, fashion editorial, and Ad campaigns. Medina has almost 20 years of experience in the beauty industry working for various celebrities, and various cosmetic brands.
