I’m a self-taught artist. I lived in NYC for 14 years and that’s where I drew a ton of my inspiration for my artwork and fashion sense. I am currently residing in south Florida where I now have the time and space to bring all of my ideas into fruition. I create vibrant, quirky, acrylic paintings. The subjects of my paintings are otherworldly and odd looking, what I describe as “deconstructed beauty” creating faces that look collage-esque, combining different styles and elements like enlarged lips, asymmetrical features and unique patterns. The odd mix of physical features, trends, and motifs in my works, contributes to unique imagery that is intriguing to look at.
I am always finding ways to combine art, fashion and beauty. I take a lot of my paintings and use components from them and transfer the designs onto clothing, shoes, hats and handbags. I specialize in painting on leather and use special leather paint and leather medium. I also paint on fabrics with fabric medium and acrylic paint. I protect my artwork on clothing with a sealer so that it will remain in tact. My unique approach to art on clothing has led to collaborations with stylists, photographers and designers in NYC and LA.
My work has been featured in Art Reveal Magazine, Lucy’s Magazine, Soup Can Magazine, Sohomuse, and select works are featured on the Missfits and Masterpieces website. I am currently working with luxury handbag designer Kimberly Pucci, hand painting her artisanal leather bags.
